This bag is designed for bio-control uses.  It is identical to bag PP-BC-T, except that it has a double-layer Type B filter and is bio-degradable.

The breathable bag opens by hand or automatic bag opening devices and a funnel introduces weighed substrate into the bag. The bag is filled between 50 to 60% of its volume, the top of the bag is folded down, and the bag is sterilized. After cooling, bags are opened, preferably in a ‘clean’, filtered air stream, and the desired creatures are introduced to the bag. The bag is immediately sealed and agitated to mix the creatures with the substrate. Bags are now ready for incubation.

Bags are sold in lots of 1,000.

More about Oxo-Degradable Bags

This bag contains an additive that allows it to degrade by breaking down its chemical structure. Oxidation through heat or ultraviolet light leads to this degradation, rather than bacteria and fungi that also decompose materials. Thus, this bag is ‘oxo-degradeable.’  We tested degradation rates using standard protocols in a lab setting.  The actual degradation rates you see will vary due to the conditions surrounding the bags as they degrade.
